BAMM will anticipate key safety, health and environment regulatory activities and trends involving the basic acrylic monomers (acrylic acid and the alkyl esters: specifically, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, iso-butyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, t-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, hydroxyethyl acrylate and hydroxypropyl) and provide data, as necessary, to support appropriate actions.
BAMM’s primary focus will be on U.S.-based regulatory and product stewardship/product safety issues. BAMM will track global regulatory trends and developments and will work with regional groups such as the CEFIC European Basic Acrylate manufacturers (EBAM).
BAMM will identify, develop and apply the technical and regulatory information and tools necessary to understand potential health and environmental effects of the basic acrylic monomers, and communicate these as appropriate.
